Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Alliance). They enjoyed a cozy 49-34 win over the Salem Quakers on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Aviators in their matchups with the Quakers: they've now won five in a row.

JR Jackson threw for 246 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 73.9% of his passes. Cashe Brisker was his top target, picking up 68 receiving yards and one TD.

Alliance's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Salem, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-3.

Alliance and Salem should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Aviators (ranked 145th) will meet Carrollton (ranked 398th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Salem will take on Minerva at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (261 vs. 569).
