Basketball Recap: Bay Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Bay had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with a 55-42 win over the Midview Middies.

Despite the loss, Midview still got an impressive performance from Leah DiFranco, who posted 15 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. The dominant performance also gave DiFranco a new career-high in blocks (two). Another player making a difference was Hunter Crum, who had six points and six boards.

Bay is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Midview, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Bay and Midview could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Bay will square off against Rocky River at 6:00 p.m. on Friday down 220 places (347 vs. 127). Similarly, Midview (ranked 508th) will meet Berea-Midpark (ranked 143rd) at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
