Recap: Vincent Memorial Scots vs. Valhalla Norsemen
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Vincent Memorial Scots walked away with it. They really took it to Valhalla for the full four quarters, racking up a 42-15 win at home. The result was nothing new for Vincent Memorial, who have now won four contests by 20 points or more so far this season.
Jacobo Elias continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 239 yards and five touchdowns. Jose Gabriel Martinez got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Another reason for the win was Vincent Memorial's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for nine sacks. It was a group effort, with three guys contributing.
Vincent Memorial has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Valhalla, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road , which bumped their record down to 3-8.
Vincent Memorial will be playing in front of their home fans against Hoover at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Hoover's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last six contests. Valhalla does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
