It was a good run, but Monticello unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Albemarle Patriots by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Albemarle this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in April.

Monticello's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Albemarle, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road.
