Softball Recap: Meridian Trojans vs. Oak Harbor Wildcats
Meridian fell victim to Oak Harbor and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 9-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.
Meridian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lexi Neil, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double. That stolen base marked the first that Neil has snagged this season.
Meridian has been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season. As for Oak Harbor, their record is now 12-8.
Looking ahead, Meridian will challenge Sultan at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Trojans are facing the Turks at the right time seeing as the Turks are stuck on a six-game losing streak. Oak Harbor does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
