The home team had won the previous four meetings between Triad and East St. Louis, and Triad kept the tradition alive. The Knights came out on top against the Flyers by a score of 2-0 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Flyers: they've now won six in a row.

While Triad might've won, it sure wasn't easy: East St. Louis scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-20.

Allison Adomite paced Triad's offense, picking up nine kills. Adomite got some help from Heidi Boehning and her 22 assists. Josie Stottler controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Triad's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for East St. Louis, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Triad has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Staunton on the 3rd. As for East St. Louis, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Glenwood on the 3rd.
