Basketball Recap: North Warren Central Takes a Loss

North Warren Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 53-39 to the Hartford Central Tanagers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tanagers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-24 back in January.

Hartford Central found their leader in sophomore Audrey Fiske, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 14 boards. Hartford Central is 10-1 when Fiske posts ten or more rebounds, but 3-5 otherwise. Cailin Severance was another key player, putting up 11 points in addition to seven assists and six boards.

North Warren Central's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Hartford Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Granville the next time they take the court. Hartford Central will host Granville at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while North Warren Central will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
