Basketball Game Preview: East Mountain Timberwolves vs. Capitan Tigers

The East Mountain Timberwolves and the Capitan Tigers will face off at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

East Mountain picked up another tournament win on Friday. They blew past Pine Hill 71-39. The Timberwolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Capitan had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They snuck past Navajo Pine with a 57-51 victory on Friday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Tigers' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Capitan's win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-11. As for East Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.
