Basketball Game Preview: Lynnwood Royals vs. Edmonds-Woodway Warriors

Lynnwood is 0-10 against Edmonds-Woodway since January of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Lynnwood Royals will head out on the road to face off against the Edmonds-Woodway Warriors at 6:30 p.m.

Lynnwood is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Monday. They fell 65-55 to Mariner.

Meanwhile, Edmonds-Woodway put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Shorewood with points to spare, taking the game 53-35. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Stormrays are ranked 65th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Edmonds-Woodway's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-0. As for Lynnwood, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.

Lynnwood took a serious blow against Edmonds-Woodway when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 76-24. Can Lynnwood avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
