Football Recap: Whitko Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Whitko can now relate to. They were dealt a 48-0 defeat at the hands of the Eastside Blazers on Friday. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured nine losses in a row.

Cooper Laukhuf threw for 102 yards on eight of 23 attempts. Ethan Yates was his top target, picking up 60 receiving yards.

Leading Eastside to victory were Job Richman and Noah Dove. Richman rushed for 92 yards and two TDs on only five carries, while Dove gained 111 total yards and three touchdowns. Richman is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Whitko's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Eastside, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Whitko does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eastside, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Manchester at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
