Volleyball Recap: Elanor Davis and Annalynn Silverthorne Secure Win for Southside + How To Watch

Southside's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the North Pitt Panthers. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Seahawks as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Southside never let North Pitt on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-15, 25-23.

Southside was led to victory by Annalynn Silverthorne and Elanor Davis. Silverthorne had six digs and two aces, while Davis had eight digs. The dominant performance also gave Silverthorne a new career-high in assists (22).

Southside now has a winning record of 4-3. As for North Pitt, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, North Pitt will head out to square off against West Craven at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The match will give the Panthers their first taste of in-conference action this season. Southside will be paying especially close attention to North Pitt's contest: after North Pitt faces off against Farmville Central, they'll take on Southside again at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
