Ponderosa waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 13-12 W against the Woodcreek Timberwolves. 13 seems to be a good number for the Bruins as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Haley Arroyo was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Escobar, who went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Ponderosa was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .529. They are a perfect 11-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Ponderosa's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-8. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Woodcreek, their loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-5.

Ponderosa wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Whitney on the 8th. As for Woodcreek, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-2 victory against Folsom on the 8th.
