Baseball Recap: Heartland Christian Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Heartland Christian's offense. They came up short against the Edison Wildcats on Wednesday, falling 10-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.

Heartland Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Bender, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Heartland Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Edison, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heartland Christian will challenge East Palestine at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Edison, they will head out to square off against Martins Ferry at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
