It was a good run, but Higley unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Williams Field Black Hawks. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Black Hawks earlier this season, when they won 6-1.

Higley saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nate Kimmel, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Higley's defeat dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Williams Field, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 15-10 record.

Coming up, Higley will be playing in front of their home fans against Mountain View at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Toros have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. Williams Field does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
