Softball Recap: Delta Comes Up Short

If Delta was riding high fresh off their 20-2 takedown of Stryker on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers lost 22-3 to the Hilltop Cadets on Saturday. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Cadets recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Delta saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Annabell Gillen, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Those RBI were Gillen's first of the season.

Delta now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Hilltop, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Cadets beat Delta by a score of 12-0 later that day.
