Dae'cion Echols Delivers Best Performance of Season

Muncie Central was led to victory by Dae'Cion Echols, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Echols rushed for 267 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.1 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 52 yards.

Echols must have Richmond's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Echols last faced the Red Devils back in September of 2023, he rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.

Harrison found a leader in Jack Gonzalez as the team took down Kokomo on Friday. Gonzalez turned in nothing short of a gem, making six total tackles. His longest rush was for an incredible 89 yards.

Harrison has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Gonzalez and Harrison will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Westfield at 7:00 p.m. on November 1st.

Keemarion Pollard's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Kokomo over Harrison

While Kokomo might've come up empty on Friday, Keemarion Pollard wasn't going down without a fight. Despite the loss, Pollard was still balling out as he rushed for 80 yards and two touchdowns.

Kokomo moved to 4-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. Pollard and Kokomo will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on McCutcheon at 7:00 p.m. on November 1st.

Jackson Mills continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his tenth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least six total tackles. He made 23 total tackles and defended a pass.
