Baseball Game Preview: Jimtown Jimmies vs. Tippecanoe Valley Vikings

For the second straight game, Jimtown will face off against Tippecanoe Valley. The Jimmies will be playing in front of their home fans against the Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Jimtown is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

Jimtown had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Tippecanoe Valley on Thursday. The Jimmies blew past the Vikings 20-7. The victory continues a trend for the Jimmies in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won four in a row.

Broderic Kaler was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Armstrong, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Jimtown always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Jimtown's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Tippecanoe Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
