Softball Recap: Maryvale Takes a Loss

Maryvale fell victim to Browne and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Bruins by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Panthers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Maryvale saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ivette Hernandez Mojica, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Hernandez Mojica is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Maryvale moved to 8-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Browne, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

While Maryvale had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
