Game recap: Dayton falls to Churchill County

Dayton (Nev.) fell 35-14 to Churchill County (Fallon, Nev.).

The Dust Devils pulled ahead on a two-point conversion, and subsequently went into halftime leading 8-7. The Greenwave scored the winning points with a touchdown pass by Morgan Dirickson to Micah Manning that came in the third quarter.

Dayton's Austin Fletcher was the standout player for his team. The junior running back ran for one touchdown.

Dirickson stood out for Churchill County in the win. The junior quarterback threw three touchdowns and ran for one touchdown.

CC got revenge for last year's 26-13 loss to DHS with the victory.



With the win the Fallon school extended its winning streak to three games.

In a 1A Northern game next week Dayton (1-2) takes on Lowry, and Churchill County (3-0) will go up against Elko also in a 1A Northern game.
