Richard waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 38-32 W against the Mt. Clemens Battling Bathers.

When it comes to explaining why Mt. Clemens lost, don't look at Leah Williams. Despite the final result, she posted 20 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. Williams' evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Jacqueline Barrientos, who had five points and nine boards.

Richard's victory bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Mt. Clemens, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Richard and Mt. Clemens' offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Richard will take on Allen Park at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, a team that's only allowed 24.45 points per game. Meanwhile, Mt. Clemens and Advanced Tech Academy (who has only given up 23 points per game) will meet at 6:00 p.m. on February 28th.
