Basketball Recap: Guadalupe Centers Falls to Northland Christian in First Game of Season

Guadalupe Centers had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were beaten by Northland Christian 66-18 on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Aztecs of the 68-19 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Roman Carlson had a dynamite game For Northland Christian., shooting 56% from the field en route to 12 points and seven steals. Those seven steals gave Carlson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mason Hall, who went 7-for-8 to rack up 17 points.

Guadalupe Centers and Northland Christian will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Aztecs see the court they'll take on Wyandotte at 7:00 p.m. on December 1. As for Northland Christian, their break will end when they face Orrick at 7:30 p.m. on December 2.
