Volleyball Recap: Hilliard Bradley Starts Season with Win Against Westerville North

Hilliard Bradley took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Westerville North Warriors with a sharp 3-0 win. The Jaguars were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Warriors, so the Jaguars were just returning the favor.

While Hilliard Bradley won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 28-26, 25-21.

Hilliard Bradley was led to victory by Kendal Barber and Katie Statti. Barber had ten digs, while Statti had seven digs and two assists. Those ten digs gave Barber a new career-high.

Westerville North's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Hilliard Bradley has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Westland on the 18th. As for Westerville North, they will head out to face off against Dublin Coffman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
