Soccer Recap: White County Takes a Loss

White County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Lumpkin County Indians, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, White County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 280th, while Lumpkin County are ranked 64th).

White County's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Lumpkin County, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

Coming up, White County will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Rabun County at 5:30 p.m. As for Lumpkin County, they will head out to face off against Pickens at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lumpkin County will be up against Pickens' rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.75 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
