Recap: Scholars Guild Academy Spartans vs. Hills Academy Knights
The Scholars Guild Academy Spartans suffered their biggest loss since December 5, 2023 on Thursday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 59-35 walloping at the hands of Hills Academy. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Scholars Guild Academy of the 66-55 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture on January 9th.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hills Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Micah Pugh, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Adrian Campbell, who scored 13 points.
Scholars Guild Academy's loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Hills Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
Scholars Guild Academy will be playing at home against Lanier Christian Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hills Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Arlington Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
