Softball Recap: Helena Finds Playoff Glory Versus Spain Park

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Helena walked away with it. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Spain Park Jaguars on Monday. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Macy Rooker looked comfortable as she tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Macie Brashears was excellent, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since April 5th. Addison Draiss was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI.

Helena's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 28-14-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Spain Park, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-21-2.

As of now, neither Helena nor the Jaguars have any future games scheduled.
