Football Game Preview: Clemente Wildcats vs. Muchin College Prep Mountain Lions

The Clemente Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Muchin College Prep Mountain Lions at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Clemente is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 30-20 win over ITW David Speer Academy on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

AJ Bankston had a dynamite game, throwing for 134 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 passes, while also rushing for 74 yards. Another player making a difference was Donovan Bell, who rushed for 158 yards and one TD while picking up 8.8 yards per carry.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Clemente was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 232 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Muchin College Prep, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Comer 20-18.

Clemente's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-6. As for Muchin College Prep, their record is now 3-4.
