Meanwhile, Lakeside School put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Saturday. They blew past South Choctaw Academy 11-0. The result was nothing new for the Chiefs, who have now won 14 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Demetrius Hardnett made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 14 over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Trent Hayes was a standout: he scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Vachon, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Lakeside School was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .467 or higher in three consecutive matches.

Lakeside School is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.4 runs on average over those games. Macon-East Montgomery Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
