Basketball Recap: Greene County Takes a Loss

Greene County extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 14 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-11. They took a blow against the Lincoln County Red Devils, falling 58-20. The Tigers were down 48-14 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

As for Lincoln County, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-7. The contest marked their most dominant win of the season.

Lincoln County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Janiah Norman led the charge by putting up 21 points and eight rebounds. Norman continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Christina Johnson, who went 5-for-11 on her way to 14 points along with eight boards and four steals.

Greene County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-52 loss against Lake Oconee Academy on the 17th. As for Lincoln County, they have also already played their next game, a 46-32 victory against Towns County on the 17th.
