Football Recap: Norwalk Beats Pasadena for Their Third Straight Victory

Norwalk extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Diego Cerritos. The Lancers walked away with a 42-34 win over the Pasadena Bulldogs on Friday for which the team can thank Cerritos, who rushed for 172 yards and three TDs. Cerritos is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 168 every time he's taken the field this season.

Pasadena lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Synncere Pitts, who rushed for 155 yards and one touchdown. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 90 yards. Another player making a difference was Dutch Burbidge, who threw for 226 yards and three TDs while completing 76% of his passes.

Norwalk's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Pasadena, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Norwalk wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 28-27 win against Venice on the 12th. As for Pasadena, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Burroughs at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th. The game will give the Bulldogs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
