Soccer Game Preview: Oak Hill vs. Capital

The Oak Hill Red Devils will take on the Capital Cougars at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Oak Hill is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of West Virginia's top teams: Woodrow Wilson, who was ranked 17th at the time (Oak Hill was ranked fourth). The Red Devils never let the Flying Eagles get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory on Tuesday. Considering Oak Hill have won 11 contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Woodrow Wilson with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Bella Holly (3), Gracie Bennett (2), and Jada Wilburn.

Meanwhile, Capital had just enough and edged out Spring Valley 1-0 on Thursday. Capital haven't had any issues with Spring Valley recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Oak Hill's victory bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Capital, their win bumped their record up to 7-5-3.

Oak Hill beat Capital 2-0 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Will the Red Devils repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
