Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Northside Christian walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Bradenton Christian Panthers on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Mustangs as they're now sitting on ten straight.

Merric Hunt tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Luke Anderson, who fired off three home runs and eight RBI while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in runs (three). Bobby Hearn was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Northside Christian lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Northside Christian's record now sits at 19-8. As for Bradenton Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.

Northside Christian will face off against Indian Rocks Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight. Bradenton Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
