Basketball Game Preview: Petersburg Buffaloes vs. Lorenzo Hornets

The Petersburg Buffaloes are taking a road trip to square off against the Lorenzo Hornets at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Lorenzo took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Petersburg, who comes in off a win.

Petersburg played against Southland and won via forfeit.

Lorenzo is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering O'Donnell just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 51-40 to the Eagles.

Petersburg is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 15-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.1 points per game. As for Lorenzo, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9.

Petersburg didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Lorenzo in their previous matchup on January 10th, but they still walked away with a 39-33 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Petersburg since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
