Basketball Recap: Metro Tech Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Metro Tech needed a changed in momentum after dropping 17 straight games and they got it from Isaac Munoz. The Metro Tech Knights managed a 55-51 win over the Odyssey Institute Minotaur on Saturday thanks in part to Munoz, who posted 16 points. Those 16 points gave him a new career-high.

Another player making a difference was Erick Morales, who put up eight points and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played.

Metro Tech's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-16. As for Odyssey Institute, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Metro Tech will welcome NFL Yet Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Odyssey Institute, they will square off against Fountain Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fountain Hills will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Odyssey Institute surely won't give up without a fight.
