Baseball Recap: Chisago Lakes Area Gets the Win

Chisago Lakes Area let Becker stack six runs on them in the third inning on Monday but luckily Chisago Lakes Area prevailed anyway. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 10-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted against the Bulldogs since April 29, 2021.

Chisago Lakes Area let Lucas Weinzetl and Brayden Anderson run wild. Weinzetl went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run, while Anderson got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs and one double. Those two RBI gave Weinzetl a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Xander Breitenbach, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Chisago Lakes Area's record is now 5-9. As for Becker, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.
