Baseball Recap: Grandfield Comes Up Short

Grandfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 11-8 to the Ringling Blue Devils. That's two games in a row now that the Bearcats have lost by exactly three runs.

Braden Garlington was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Cooper Henson, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Grandfield's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Ringling, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-11 record this season.

Grandfield is taking a road trip to face off against Waurika at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ringling, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Healdton at 4:00 p.m.
