Preview: Ridgeland Panthers vs. Bremen Blue Devils
The Ridgeland Panthers will stay at home for another game and welcome the Bremen Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, it was a hard-fought game, but Ridgeland had to settle for a 53-51 defeat against Ringgold. Ridgeland has not had much luck with Ringgold recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite their defeat, Ridgeland saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. John Hill, who scored 15 points along with 5 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Hill scored a full 29.4% of Ridgeland's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Chase Hickman was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Bremen ended up a good deal behind Coahulla Creek on Friday and lost 59-40. Bremen has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Trion's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Ridgeland's defeat dropped theirs to 3-1.
Ridgeland didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Bremen in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 78-74 win. Will Ridgeland repeat their success, or does Bremen have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
