Baseball Recap: Moody Takes a Loss

Moody kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Johnson City Eagles, falling 11-2. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Moody saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Ogburn, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

The victory (which was Johnson City's seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Looking ahead, Moody will venture away from home to challenge Millsap at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. Johnson City's pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so Rio Vista's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
