Softball Recap: Unionville Victorious

Unionville won the last time they faced Great Valley and things went their way on Monday too. The Longhorns came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 9-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Longhorns.

The team relied heavily on Lily DeLong, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Levendis, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Unionville picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 7-5. As for Great Valley, they dropped their record down to 5-8 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Unionville will challenge rival Coatesville at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Great Valley is set to take on their familiar foe Kennett at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
