Basketball Preview: San Diego Cavers vs. Madison Warhawks
The San Diego Cavers are on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Madison Warhawks at 6:15 p.m. on February 6th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Saturday, San Diego suffered a tough 75-54 loss at the hands of the Knights. That's two games in a row now that San Diego has lost by exactly 21 points.
Meanwhile, Madison's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their ninth straight defeat. They took a hard 67-50 fall against Olympian. While losing is never fun, Madison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 549th, while the Eagles are ranked 145th).
San Diego's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Madison, they dropped their record down to 9-17 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
San Diego took their win against the Warhawks in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 55-32. The rematch might be a little tougher for San Diego since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
