Rock Island lost to Moline on Wednesday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Rocks came out on top in a nail-biter against the Maroons, sneaking past 11-10.

Rock Island's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Moline, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 15-9 record.

Looking ahead, Rock Island will challenge Alleman at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Pioneers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.54 runs per game on average), something the Rocks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Moline, they will head out on the road to square off against Normal Community at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Ironmen will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Maroons surely won't give up without a fight.
