            Baseball Recap: Vacaville Bulldogs vs. Whitney Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            Friday just wasn't the day for Vacaville's offense. They fell  3-0 to the Whitney Wildcats on Friday. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their  defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting  back in April of 2024.
 Dallas West was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  tossed 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   five  hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in three consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, Vacaville saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Rome Griego, who  went 1-for-3 with one  double.
Vacaville now  has a losing record of 3-4. As for Whitney, the  win was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-2.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vacaville will venture away from home to  face off against Wood  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. This will  be Wood's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. Whitney will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Del Oro at 4:00  p.m.  on March 17th.
