Draughn is a perfect 3-0 against Watauga since March of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Draughn fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Madison on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 8-7. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Watauga fell victim to Alexander Central and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 10-0. The Pioneers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Watauga's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Draughn, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4.

Draughn took their victory against Watauga in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 17-4 score. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pioneers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
