Medomak Valley has gone 8-2 against Leavitt recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Panthers will head out to take on the Hornets at 4:00 p.m. Both teams are still undefeated (Medomak Valley has eight wins , while Leavitt has seven).

On Friday, Medomak Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Brunswick, taking the game 8-5.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Leavitt). They blew past Lincoln Academy 20-4 on Friday. Considering the Hornets have won five matches by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Hailey Cyr was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Brook Boutaugh and Hailey Turcotte did most of the damage at the plate: Boutaugh got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base, while Turcotte went 2-for-3 with four runs, one triple, and two RBI. Turcotte continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaeley Tremblay, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Leavitt kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lincoln Academy only managed four hits.

Leavitt's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Medomak Valley, their record now sits at 8-0.

Medomak Valley skirted past Leavitt 5-4 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Hornets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
