Basketball Game Preview: Holdrege Dusters vs. Ogallala Indians

The Holdrege Dusters will square off against the Ogallala Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Holdrege ended up a good deal behind Minden and lost 50-36. While losing is never fun, the Dusters can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Whippets are ranked sixth).

Meanwhile, Ogallala unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell to Northwest 49-44.

Holdrege's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Ogallala, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-5.

Holdrege won a game that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, slipping by Ogallala 41-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Holdrege since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
