Baseball Game Preview: Buffalo Bison vs. Teague Lions

Buffalo is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will look to defend their home field against the Teague Lions at 7:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Buffalo's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Teague has been banged up by ten consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

On Friday, Buffalo came up short against Iola and fell 8-3. That's two games in a row now that the Bison have lost by exactly five runs.

Meanwhile, Teague made easy work of Rice on Friday and carried off an 8-1 win.

Bo Bowers and Mario Cuevas made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Bowers struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Meanwhile, Cuevas struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). At bat, Bowers scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Cuevas scored two runs while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, Teague let Blake Maggard and Kade Kormos run wild. Maggard scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Kormos went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple.

Buffalo's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Teague, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
