Recap: Ridgeland Panthers vs. LaFayette Ramblers

After flying high against the Bremen Blue Devils last Friday, the Ridgeland Panthers came back down to earth. Ridgeland was outmatched by LaFayette on the road and fell 60-31. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Ridgeland has scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why Ridgeland lost on Saturday, one person who can't be blamed is Chase Hickman. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Ridgeland's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-7. As for LaFayette, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridgeland will take on Adairsville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Adairsville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven contests -- so hopefully Ridgeland likes a good challenge. As for LaFayette, LaFayette and Gordon Lee will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Gordon Lee is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
