Softball Recap: Brunswick Blue Devils vs. Medina Battling Bees

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Brunswick ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Medina Battling Bees by a score of 7-5 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Battling Bees recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Brunswick got a great performance from Gabby Diligente as she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over 4.2 innings pitched. Diligente has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Brunswick let Ava Williams and Ava Beas run wild. Williams went 3-for-5 with three RBI, while Beas went 3-for-5 with three runs. Those three RBI gave Williams a new career-high.
