Softball Recap: Pershing County Continues Road Dominance on Friday

Pershing County had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They blew past the West Wendover Wolverines 22-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 28-7 on Friday.

Aaliyah Allen was incredible, going 3-for-5 with six RBI, two triples, and two runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kyra Cerini, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Pershing County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Wendover only posted a batting average of .214.

Pershing County pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.5 runs over those games. As for West Wendover, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pershing County beat West Wendover by a score of 19-2 on Saturday.
