Basketball Recap: Academy for Business & Tech Comes Up Short

Academy for Business & Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 49-0 defeat at the hands of the Voyageur Academy Cougar. The Gators lost against the Cougar in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 45-20 score last time.

Academy for Business & Tech's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Voyageur Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Academy for Business & Tech will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on University Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. University Prep will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Academy for Business & Tech surely won't give up without a fight. Voyageur Academy will take on Chandler Park Academy in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Voyageur Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
