Basketball Game Preview: Dunbar Tigers vs. Lehigh Lightning

Dunbar is 2-8 against Lehigh since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Dunbar Tigers will take on the Lehigh Lightning at 7:00 p.m. Dunbar is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.4 points per game this season.

Dunbar will bounce into Wednesday's game after beating South Fort Myers, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Dunbar managed a 73-68 win over South Fort Myers on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dunbar to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brayant Corona, who went 7 of 15 on his way to 21 points along with seven boards and six steals. Those six steals gave Corona a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamari Cobb, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine boards.

Meanwhile, everything went Lehigh's way against Fort Myers on Monday as Lehigh made off with a 70-48 win. The Lightning have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Dunbar's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-10. As for Lehigh, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-1.

Dunbar was taken down by Lehigh 88-54 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Dunbar was down 45-25.
